What to do in the case of road accident
Practical actions in the case of accident are always the same regardless of whether you are the innocent or guilty party. Do as follows at the site of the accident:
• fi ll in the damage report together with the possible other party involved in the accident
• if possible, get eyewitnesses to the incident
• ask the other party to sign the damage report
Send the damage report to LeasePlan immediately by filling in an electronic damage report at www.leaseplan.fi /driver_service. LeasePlan sends the report further to an insurance company. Keep the damage report written at the site of the accident for possible further request . An electronic damage report is enough for LeasePlan and we ask for the signed report if necessary. Also the other party must send a damage report to his or her own insurance company.
The police must be called to the site of the incident
• if there is doubt about who is guilty of the accident
• if the accident has caused personal injury
• if the accident has involved elk, reindeer or deer
