According to current legislation, cars and vans must undergo a technical inspection within three years of their commissioning date, which is stated at the top of the technical section of the vehicle’s registration.
After the first technical inspection, vans need to be inspected on an annual basis, while cars need to be inspected again within two years, after which inspections must be carried out annually.
A vehicle may be taken for technical inspection up to 4 months before and no later than the due date (which is the same as the commissioning date). After the due date – already the next day – an uninspected vehicle is forbidden from being used in traffic.
With the vehicles owned by LeasePlan, the inspection fee is included in the lease contract. K1 Katsastajat Oy and A-Katsastus Oy will directly invoice LeasePlan.
